Phil at the Comdey Catch in Chattanooga
Recap and some pics of Phil at the Comedy Catch in Chattanooga, TN . This is by Vicki (FORPHIL), whose son, Steve, went to Lee University with Phil and who sang with him in the Lee Singers group. She absolutely loves Phil and has called the local station often to request his single. They were probably the first station to play it, and I remember them saying that they were "floored" from the first time they heard it and that they couldn't get it out of the cd player fast enough. She was invited to this event by the radio station.

Phil. I may not have them in order, but he was funny in some instances and serious in others, according to Vicki.
...I went to see Phil May 21st.
Wow, where do I start. Just know that this is coming from my heart. Last night I went to see Phil in Chattanooga, a show put on by US101 radio station. I am struggling for words here because the whole evening was just beyond belief. Phil hit the stage around 7 and some of the first words out of his mouth were Hi Vicki!!! It made me feel so special. He started the show with Who you Know, followed by Looking Like Love. He either told us a little story before each song or had something humorous to say. His personality and energy were nothing short of contagious. He continued to do another song from the CD No Way Around A River, he joked with some of his phriends in the audience. He also sang , Round Here, Be Good To Each Other and You Are Mine. I wish I had taken some notes so I could have kept all the songs in the proper order. A little ways in he said I am going to sing you a song, just to be singing the song, he played and sang Old Glory and he was rewarded with a loud round of cheers and a standing ovation. It was a very moving performance. Then a short while later he says, "I'm going to sing the song which launched my career in country music." I'm thinking oh, he if finally going to sing If You Didn't Love Me, but, alas that was not it. He did Where The Blacktop Ends!!! Duh, where have I been, this is truly the song that launched his career. Even Randy Jackson said, " Dude you could have a career in Country Music." He included the crowd on some of the songs, he would sing then let us sing. It was so much fun. He concluded the show with If You Didn't Love Me, letting us all know if we didn't love him he would not be where he is today. Because we voted, because we promoted and because we have bought his CD, his t-shirts etc to support him he has made it to where he is today. Once again, I encourage anyone out there reading this, if you have not seen Phil in person you are missing the blessing of a LIFETIME. If he is anywhere close to where you are, do whatever you have to do to go see him, especially if it is JUST him. He is totally phenominal in person. If you were not or are not a pfan, I guarantee you WILL be by the time he hits the second song. The man was born to do what he is doing. His stage presence is awesome, his smile is infectious and his vocals are STELLAR. When he belted out the first song I was almost in tears and I thought with each song it could not get any better and yet it did. He was phlawless on the vocals on EVERYTHING he sang. Please listen to me when I say you have to experience him in person. Phil, if you are reading this, I Love You Man. Thanks for a wonderful concert.
