Phil at the Wing Ding in Sarasota

Pics of Phil with Joni and her daughter at the Wing Ding in Sarasota, Fla. She couldn't take pics of Phil performing because Cling Black, who headlined the event, wouldn't allow it. She took some with her "Slim Shady" pocket camera, as she calls it, but not from the stage because they would be too far away. She gave me a brief recap: he wore that shirt, a black bandanna over the head, and those glasses while performing. Why black in hot, sunny Fla., in don't know, . She said that, every time he rose his arms, his belly showed, She said she got an audio of him singing a song he wrote while in the Navy, which I'm thinking is "Old Glory," but I'm not sure. She said she sent it to me, but I haven't gotten it. I'll try posting it when I get it. I will also post pics from the radio station once they have pics up.

Yeah, I think that's "Old Glory". I actually have a recorded version of the song that I believe he recorded before he went on Idol. Great song.

I would love to hear it, Danny. I know there is the one time he performed it in Wichita, and also at the Navy's birthday. I love it, too.

I was copying and pasting Joni's info from Club Ace, where she is a member. I forgot to clarify that she had met Phil at the Gasparilla parade and also when he was in Sarasota earlier in the year. I appreciate her sharing with me, as I haven't been able to go out to these events and meet him.

He does look good in black, but he should consider wearing something lightly colored in our Florida heat. He must have forgotten how hot it can get here, :p . Phil with "Randy," "Paula," and "Simon." I'm not sure why the towel, but I'm guessing they must have either had some silly thing they were doing with him, or he was really hot in the Florida weather (besides already being hot, )
