Phil at 2 appearances in Florida!

I was starting to think that Florida wasn't caring for Phil much, but according to a Philnatic from Jacksonville, they have been playing his single! I also found the info below. The first I had already posted about; the second I found thanks to sirlinksalot.com. Sarasota is the closest to me right now. I'll check for listen live. The second one will not be at the radio station, though. Also, some of their info is outdated.

An 'Idol' finalist set

for Sarasota show

WCTQ 106.5 FM is bringing "American Idol" season 6 finalist Phil Stacey to Sarasota Kennel Club's Miss Whirl Club for a free acoustic concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The show is limited to patrons age 18 and older.

After the concert, the 30-year-old singer will sign autographs and stick around to watch that night's Fox episode of "American Idol" with attendees and answer any questions.

Born in Harlan, Ky., Stacey lives in Jacksonville, where he serves in the Navy as a musician third class, stationed at Navy Band Southeast.

Stacey's self-titled debut album (on Lyric Street Records) is due in stores April 15. Hear Stacey's first single, "If You Didn't Love Me," here: myspace.com/philstacey music.

OMG! My friend Joni rocks! She saw Phil in Sarasota last night!
I PM'ed her about him being nearby again, and she drove about 1 hour to go see him. Her friend Shelley, who was also with her at the Gasparilla parade and the Italian Club, and who got a sailor's hat signed by Phil, was with her.

He was at the Sarasota Kennel Club ( http://www.sarasotakennelclub.com/index.htm ), and it was sponsored by 106.5 CTQ ( http://www.wctq.com/main.html ). The station's site has pics up, one found under the yellow "Phil Stacey pics," and the other under the AI section, where you see a pic of Paula and Simon, "Phil Stacey M-N-G" pics. Joni is shown in 2 of them, dressed in blue. I'll post some of her pics, which I'm doing between getting husband and son out the door to work, because I am so anxious to share them, . The station did an interview with him, but I haven't seen a link for it yet. Some seem to put up links, others don't.

Joni told me that he was such a sweetheart, that she and her friend Shelley had as much time as they wanted with him, . There were only about 30 people there. It was held at a new clubhouse, which had TV monitors at every table, I guess so you can follow any races going on. Phil watched Idol with them. He would walk around with a microphone telling stories about his Idol experience and then would stop at a table he was near and watch the person singing. She said that Phil watched 3 of the people singing at her table, which she was happy about (I would be, too, ) She also said that he stayed close to her table because across from them there was a lady drunk, and every time he walked past, she would yell that she loved him. . She did say that she was surprised that he was in that kind of setting but figured maybe it's Lyric Street that tells him where to go. I have noticed that some of his upcoming appearances, which are with Sawyer Brown, are at hotel casinos and such. I understand how his fan, Vicki, wants to keep him in prayer because lots of places out there are the kind that many churches, especially those of Phil's denomination, would not encourage Christians to be at. But I trust Phil and I'm sure he and Kendra know that many pray for them and their family regularly.

Joni asked him about the new myspace, and he said that Lyric Street runs that one. He is not on it, so I figured he would probably still go through the one he has set to private. He will be shutting down the other one soon, which I assume is the one that still has Jacksonville as his location. Those with myspace, just keep looking out for changes. I trust that he will notify us, and of course there are Kendra's myspace and his dad's, Gary's, to rely on.
